Vision/ Mission/ Function:

               Urban Development & Poverty Alleviation Department (UD & PA) was established on 24^th August 2006 to implement various Urban Development & Poverty Alleviation Programmes, including Urban Development Schemes. Census Tows or Notified Towns of Mizoram come under the ambit of this Department. UD & PA Department is undertaking development and poverty alleviation programmes, sanitation and wages management programmes and town and country planning in urban areas of the state. The main theme of the department is to create economically vibrant, inclusive, efficient and sustainable urban habitats within the state.
